Magma Q1 LP Zoom: Insights from Neivor and Billpocket Founders

Magma hosted its Q1 LP Zoom call where the founders of Billpocket and Neivor shared their startup journeys. Caterine Castillo, co-founder, and CEO of Neivor, and Alejandro Guizar, co-founder, and CEO of Billpocket, discussed how they achieved high traction with little investment, the challenges they faced, and the lessons learned.

Neivor is a proptech company that helps condominiums and property managers manage their back office and helps renters pay their rent. Currently, Neivor has 30,000 paying units, 30 employees, and operates in Colombia and Mexico. Magma was Neivor’s lead investor in their $500,000 round, and they later raised $3.5M led by SoftBank. 

Billpocket is a financial services platform that allows businesses to accept card payments in Mexico. Before Kushki's acquisition, Billpocket processed $2B, served over 500,000 merchants in Mexico, and was used by one out of every eight Mexican merchants.
